Rules of the Game

1) Beer Plate is played with a minimum of 10 bottle caps, which may only be obtained by drinking beer before the game commences.

2) Each player must be at least 4 feet away from the plate.

3) Initially the Token Collection Boy (TCB) is selected at random (usually the dumb kid). Subsequently, the TCB is the person to the immediate left of the Plate Keeper.

4) Any player may call for a Cap Collection at any time. At this point, the TCB must throw as many bottle caps, at random, as he/she can find through out the room until all players are content with the number of bottle caps they possess. (Note: It is proper etiquette for the TCB to yell "Hup" each time a bottle cap is thrown.)

5) Beer Bitch is the person to the immediate right of the Plate Keeper.

6) Any player who makes a Plater is granted another turn.

7) A player who makes 3 consecutive Plater's may make a rule that is valid through out the night.

8) A player who makes 5 consecutive Plater's is known as the Plate Master and may give out as many drinks as there are bottle caps on the plate at any time, during that round of play.

9) A bottle cap that is knocked off the plate is known as an Offer. A player who commits an Offer must take as many drinks as there are bottle caps left on the plate.

10) A shot that lands, but in the process knocks another bottle cap off the plate is known as an In-And-Out. The net affect of this action is a Plater and an Offer.

  11) Any player who goes out of turn must drink 1. If a player goes out of turn and makes a Plater he/she must take as many drinks as there are bottle caps on the plate (including the bottle cap that was just thrown).

12) Plater drinks may be split between players only on Multiple Word Scores. A Double Word Score may be split between no more than 2 players, a Triple Word Score between 3 players, and so on.

13) Players may choose to throw multiple bottle caps. He/she is granted a Plater for every bottle caps that lands safely and commits an Offer for each bottle caps that misses.

14) If there are the same number of bottle caps facing up as there are facing down -- Social!

15) The Committee Of Players may chose to implement a shot clock. A player who is too drunk and stupid to know it's his/her turn will lose a turn after 5 seconds.

16) A bottle cap that lands leaning against the plate is known as a Leaner. A Leaner results in a Social in which all players must take as many drinks as there are bottle caps on the plate and then resets the game.

17) The game is reset when the plate contains 10 bottle caps (Note: The player landing the 10th bottle cap is granted another turn until he/she misses and then the game is reset.)

18) Social drinking outsides the confines of the game is highly recommended.

19) Refinement of the rules is strongly encouraged.

20) Beer Plate is for ages 12 and up.

  21) "Don't get it in the Motor Housing."

22) "Skittles are like white; they go with everything."

23) "Left palm up."

24) "Left palm up."
